The Full Moon in Virgo is the last Full Moon, before we begin a new astrological year. April Fool’s Day marks a brand new cycle, just like the fool card in tarot, with a New Moon occurring in the first zodiac sign, Aries.

Under a Full Moon, the moon is 100% illuminated. Metaphorically, the people and things hindering us are 100% illuminated too. We have epiphanies related to people, things, unhealthy habits, and toxicity in our life. Our intuition is heightened, creativity increases, we become more prone to accidents and heightened emotions. It serves as a time to forgive, release, and make room for the new.

This full moon is just two days before the Spring Equinox and one of the eight pagan holidays, Ostara, on March 20th, 2022. Ostara is a celebration of nature’s messages of hope after a long, cold winter.

Full Moon's were given different names by Native American's, typically depending on the area's climate. Most commonly known as the Storm Moon, the March Full Moon is also named the Worm Moon. After a cold and sometimes dark winter, flowers start to bloom, grass becomes greener, and worms come up from the soil to signify a new planting cycle.

Emerging fully rested from a seemingly stunted period of life, we are ready to say goodbye to the previously planted seeds. It's time to plant new ones. We can't replant seeds, expecting anything to grow. To truly live happily, we must be present and grateful for each moment, because we will only have that moment once. Let things go when it's time and swim with the flow, instead of against it.

During a Full Moon, the Moon is in the opposite zodiac sign of the Sun. With the sun in Pisces, ruled by Neptune, it's easier to get lost in your thoughts and daydreams. Neptune is the planet of creativity, illusion, and escapism. The Full Moon in Virgo, ruled by Mercury, brings us back to reality and shows us how to turn our dreams into realities. Mercury governs communication, thoughts, electronics, and travel. When Mercury is influenced by Pisces, communication can be difficult and cause some disputes.

During the winter, we went inward. Now we can begin to work towards our goals outwardly, carrying the wisdom we have gained. Acknowledge the lessons learned, forgive, release, and move forward with a clear head. Pisces season showed you what was rose colored, this Full Moon in Virgo is giving you the tools to practically make your daydreams your reality. The early, responsible bird catches the worm.

This Full Moon is gifting us with a positive emotional transformation, deep and intense intimacy, sexual passion, destiny encounters, new karmic relationships, an opportunity to clean up your act, and the perfect opportunity to find a balance between your head (Virgo) and your heart (Pisces). There is an unshakable drive to create a fool-proof plan to move towards our best self/ life.

Time to healthily release energies and cut out unnecessary stressors. We may need to set certain boundaries with people, who are hindering us. It will be easier to create structure and consistently work towards our goals.

If some relationships have become stagnant, events disrupting love and comfort will occur. Emotions will fluctuate and cause us to make sudden changes, enabling us to get unstuck.

As we say goodbye to people, places, or things, remember that anything lost will always be replaced by something better for our highest good.

Don’t panic, though! Destiny is stepping in and is ready to play. Deep and intense feelings could create very positive intimate relationships. Destined encounters can spark overpowering new karmic relationships. Deep-rooted, passionate sexual relations are a major theme for this full moon.

Full Moons are for releasing anything that’s been holding you back, as in people, limiting beliefs, habits, etc. In order to really dig deep and understand what this Full Moon is encouraging you to release: Think back to the last New Moon, what intentions or goals were you setting and working towards? What has been holding you back from meeting those goals?

Has perfectionism been getting in the way of living your best life? Perfectionism can keep you stagnant, by not allowing the world to see the real you, completing projects, or taking risks.

A time for practical planning. Show the universe you’re serious about your dreams by organizing your to-do lists, writing, reflecting, or spring clean (it’s the perfect time to do so).

Virgo, a practical and analytical earth sign, constantly sorts out what’s useful and what’s useless, truth and deception, right and wrong.

The Moon moves quickly, passing through each of the 12 zodiac signs within 28 days. Regardless of your sun sign, whichever sign the moon is in, you will feel a little bit like that sign.

From March 15th to March 18th, Virgoan energy is influencing us to clean our acts up and probably our homes too. As Virgo’s love order and cleanliness, you’ll feel a strong urge to organize your home. You’ll also be driven to work on any project, because Virgo’s have an uncanny ability to analyze the easily missed details. Virgo’s love to pitch in and lend a helping hand, so you’ll most likely get extreme satisfaction from coming to someone’s aid and being of service to others. There will be a motivation to take your health more seriously, refine your diet and nutrition habits, and maybe even take up a new fitness routine.

Like all Full Moon’s, your emotions will be intensified and heightened. This is a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. Find the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).

There may be an epiphany that something is missing in our lives, providing an opportunity to explore your emotional needs. Pluto is in harmony with this full moon, creating a healthier relationship with change and transformation.

Although this energy will be intense, you will come out feeling invigorated and lighter. Any deeply rooted emotions will undeniably surface, for the better, so you can release it and prepare for a New Moon.

Remember that everything is temporary, we can transform through situations or let them control us. The choice is, and always has been, ours.

what to do on a full moon (the day before, day of, and day after):

Use Virgo’s detail-oriented energy to organize, spring clean, and discern between what’s useful and what’s useless in your life.

Full Moon’s are the perfect time to celebrate anything symbolizing a new you or a milestone in your life.

Using a full moon phase to plan/ sketch out a project ensures it's success.

Cleanse yourself of emotional baggage, toxic thoughts and relationships.

Make full moon water by putting a jar or covered glass under the moonlight.

Meditate.

Take a ritual bath.

Sage your home, crystals, tarot decks, etc.

Charge your crystals in the moonlight.

Do a tarot reading.

Release whatever is holding you back. Try to swim with the flow, not against them.

Practice gratitude.

Write down whatever you wish to release & burn the paper in the moonlight. You can also burn objects representative of anything wished to be released (please be careful though, babies).

Exercise or use this energy to take steps towards becoming healthier.

Ground yourself.

Be fully present and practice gratitude.

Reflect on what has manifested since the new moon.

Be mindful of heightened emotions and intuition, due to the full moon.

Acknowledge what you will be releasing and what you will be practicing gratitude for the next 2 weeks.

Having trouble sleeping during a full moon is normal. In recent years, scientists have studied the relationship between sleep and Full Moons. Research has proven the gravitational pull has enough power to influence our feelings and behaviors. Our melatonin levels and brain activity linked to deep sleep decreases, during this moon phase.

Use a Moonstone crystal whenever you are unable to sleep, feeling irrational, or overly emotional.

Your ancestors, spirit guides, & angels are always with you.

Happy Full Moon, babies.
